Orion Digital Platforms is not a consulting firm with a product page. We are an engineering company that builds cloud platforms, AI systems, and developer tools — and runs every one of them in production.
Our Story
We started as a cloud consultancy. We designed architectures, wrote Terraform, and reviewed well-architected frameworks. Good work — but always for someone else's product. The distance between what we recommended and what we could prove bothered us. So we closed it. We took everything we knew and started building our own platforms.
Today, Sprintsail deploys containerized applications across three tested runtimes — EKS, Fargate, and App Runner — with a single CLI command. We didn't just write the provisioners. We ran a full lifecycle UAT: bootstrap real cloud resources, deploy real containers, verify real endpoints, then tear everything down cleanly with zero orphaned infrastructure. Shortlist matches candidates to jobs using Claude and Bedrock — not a demo, but a live hiring platform with Cognito auth, SES notifications, and a pipeline that tracks candidates from application to placement.
We don't claim things are operational until we've proven it. When we say a runtime works, it means we built 6 sample apps in Node, Python, Go, Java, .NET, and static HTML, tested each one against all 3 runtimes, and watched 18 out of 18 pass with 144 out of 144 checks green. That's how we operate. No demos. No mocks. No lies.
What We Believe
We have 16 runtimes in our registry. Three of them — EKS, Fargate, and App Runner — are live, tested, and available today. The other 13 say "coming soon" because that's the truth. We'd rather show you 3 runtimes that actually work than 16 that look good on a slide deck. Our engineering team is continuously evolving, and each runtime goes live only after it passes the same full-lifecycle UAT we run on everything.
AI belongs in the foundation, not bolted on afterward. Every platform we build has intelligence woven in from day one — candidate matching in Shortlist, deployment orchestration in Sprintsail, code execution in Sandbox. We use Claude and Bedrock because they work, and we switch models when something better ships. No vendor lock, no hype, no strategy decks. Just production systems that get smarter as we improve them.
